The Wildcat Inn & Tavern is not a fancy Jackson Bed and Breakfast. We are a cozy, clean, comfortable historic inn offering smaller Inn Rooms, larger Inn Suites, and our 2 bedroom Igloo for a great vacation value. All rooms have queen or full size beds, small private bathrooms, cable TV, and air conditioning for the summer months. During the winter months our steam radiators will keep you warm at night, but might wake you up with their typical banging and hissing.
With great country dining in our Tavern and restaurant downstairs, entertainment on the weekends and hiking, skiing, and golf near bye we have all the ingredients for a great getaway at an affordable price. Inn suites...
Our Inn Suites consist of a small sitting room or sitting area and bedroom with a queen or full size bed. All suites have hard wood floors, cable TV, and small private bathrooms with a single person shower. Inn Suites are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the main inn and are rated by our regular guests as our most comfortable accommodations. If you are interested in an Inn Suite please ask for additional information and availability for rooms 202, 203, 205, 309, 310 and 312.
Inn Rooms...
Our Inn rooms are cozy and romantic, but can be a bit noisy depending on the night or the time of year. While our staff tries to be as quiet as they can, because Inn Rooms 204 and 311 are near the kitchen guests might hear our dishwasher working overtime on busy nights. Some kitchen noise aside, Inn Rooms 204 and 311 have cozy full size beds, small private bathrooms, cable TV and affordable nightly pricing. Room 201 is also a popular Inn Room; however, its private bath is located outside the room which some guests may not be comfortable with. Inn Rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the main inn and are very popular with our regular guests who are looking for a great Jackson value. Tavern Rooms...
These rooms are perfect for "late nighters" ~ guests who like to stay up and enjoy the evening entertainment or watch sports on our Tavern big screen TV. These rooms are called Tavern Rooms because they are located on the 2nd floor above our Tavern. Each of our Tavern Rooms has a cozy full size bed, private bathroom with single person shower, and cable TV. Outside our Tavern Rooms is a private lounge that provides plenty of room to spread out and relax with friends. Our Tavern Rooms are very popular with night owls looking for a great room at a great price. Of course if there is no entertainment that night you might not hear anything at all. The Igloo...
Located in the gardens behind the Main Inn is a2 bedroom cottage with a living room and kitchenette affectionately called the Igloo. The name Igloo comes from the fact that the original first floor of this building served as an “ice house” at the turn of the century before modern day refrigeration existed. Today, the Igloo is a rustic 2 bedroom cottage with 2 private bedrooms, two small bathrooms, a living room with a sleep sofa and a small kitchenette. The Igloo is a favorite for families and couples traveling together who want lots of space and room to spread out. The Igloo will sleep at total of 4-6 people and is very popular with extended stay guests.
A Few More Helpful Things...
Breakfast……We are not a bed and breakfast. We are a traditional Inn that serves plenty of complimentary hot coffee, tea and juice to our guests each morning. While we offer a wonderful country dinner menu in our Tavern and Restaurant and lunch on a seasonal basis, we refer all our breakfast guests to Yesterday’s Restaurant right next door.
Smoking……..Sorry, no thanks. The rooms at The Wildcat Inn & Tavern are 100% non-smoking. Not only are rooms in which guests have smoked impossible to rid of the smell, smoking is also a fire hazard. Each room in the Inn is fitted with hard wired smoke detectors, which, if guests do smoke or light candles, will bring the local Fire Department crashing through your door minutes after you light up. If you smoke or feel the need to light candles in your room, we will happily refer you to another hotel.
Pets, specifically dogs…….we are a well behaved, well-groomed, flea free, dog friendly inn. While not all of our rooms allow dogs, guests who are allergic to dogs should be advised that we are not. Guests traveling with dogs are only permitted to stay in those rooms that are dog friendly. There is $20.00 per night per dog cleaning charge if you are traveling with a pet. Pets must be leashed at all times and are not allowed in our restaurant. Dogs are allowed in our Tavern and gardens.
