Hoot Night Every Tuesday Night from 8:00 PM to Midnight

Hoot Night at The Wildcat Inn and Tavern is the longest running open mic night in The Mount Washington Valley. Starting in the early 1980’s musicians from all over New Hampshire have come to The Wildcat for a unique chance to jam and share their talents with a truly extraordinary group of musicians.

Following in the colorful tradition of some of the Valley’s most beloved musicians, Hoot Night Host Jonthan Sarty takes the stage each night at 8:00 PM to create an incredible blend of music as legendary local performers arrive with guitars in hand and visitors to the Valley make their first appearance at the Tavern. One of the areas most accomplished performers, New England singer/songwriter Jonathan Sarty has performed throughout New England over the last decade. Perhaps best known as the leader of his band The White Mountain Boys, Sarty has a wide range of material consisting mainly of classic American music from old time country and honky-tonk to soul, gospel, rock, and rhythm and blues.

Sarty’s original music stands alone. Lyrically not one word is without purpose. Though strongly influenced by his predecessors in American music history, Sarty’s songs have a flavor all their own with intelligent arrangements driven by solid guitar work.
Following the release of his debut all original CD in 2006, Sarty led his group to greater success and made appearances throughout Nashville at several well known Nashville Venues leading to a highly coveted inviation to participate in Nashville’s Country Music Fanfare as a guest at the Fan Fare Exhibition Hall.

From beginning singers to professional musicians guests can enjoy some of the best music anywhere in New England. Along with Host Jonathan Sarty who is often accompanied by Chuck O’Connor (formerly with Asleep at the Wheel) we are fortunate to have some of the best musicians anywhere sit in and Hoot at The Wildcat. The following is a constantly updated photo history of Hoot Night regulars.
