Hoot Night Every Tuesday Night from 8:00 PM to Midnight
Hoot Night at The Wildcat Inn and Tavern is the longest running open mic night in The Mount Washington Valley. Starting in the early 1980’s musicians from all over New Hampshire have come to The Wildcat for a unique chance to jam and share their talents with a truly extraordinary group of musicians.
Following in the colorful tradition of some of the Valley’s most beloved musicians, current Hoot Night Host Jonathan Sarty takes the stage each night at 8:00 PM to create an incredible blend of music as legendary local performers arrive with guitars in hand and visitors to the Valley make their first appearance at the Tavern. One of the region’s most accomplished performers, New England singer/songwriter Jonathan Sarty has performed throughout New England over the last decade. Perhaps best known as the leader of his band The White Mountain Boys, Sarty has a wide range of material consisting mainly of classic American music from old time country and honky-tonk to soul, gospel, rock, and rhythm and blues.
Originally from Maine, Jonathan has performed throughout the country. His style is a blend of classic American roots, country, and folk rock, often referred to as Americana. Jonathan has produced multiple projects and fronted several bands in many forms over the years. His voice is resonant and powerful with excellent pitch and an outstanding range. His style is all his own and his unique guitar arrangements lend themselves to the rock band format and the great players he has worked with.
Jonathan is also the owner and producer of The White Mountain Music Groups, the North East's newest record label. Having acted almost exclusively as his own agent, producer, and sound technician for over 15 years it was inevitable Jonathan would form his own record label and production company. The White Mountain Music Group handles all logistical aspects of Jonathan's performances, White Mountain Boys performances, recording, sound production, events coordinating, and bookings. The White Mountain Music Group has launched itself with the release of it's first recording project Sarty's original CD "This Road."
